I am probably going to buy snow tires for my MS6 this summer, while they're cheap. Sites like Tire Rack and so on don't come up with many choices that they'll recommend for my car, I think due to speed restrictions.

So what can you guys recommend?

+1 on the Dunlops. There are a couple other threads with info and pictures of those tires on the stock 18" MS6 wheels. I've had them on my last two cars and they are awesome in Chicago winters. My last set went three winters on my Focus SVT and when I sold the car they had like 80% thread left on them.

I love my Dunlop M3's as well. The winter setup is the stock rims with 225/45 M3's...

i'd like to know where everyone is getting the Dunlops at. Tirerack doesn't even have any in that fit the stock rim. Heck even all-seasons and summer tires are very limited in this size. Wonder what the deal is with that...

That's what I was wondering too.

Oh, and mods -- I think you moved this to the wrong place. Second gen? This is an MS6 specific problem, since it's 18s with different ratings.

well to their account, i looked up 225/45/18's as opposed to the stock 215/45/18s

Hard to believe that one number off would make that drastic of a difference...
