I have been researching wheels/tires/suspension for the past several weeks, at great length. I have read most of the threads, gotten several opinions and finally photoshopped my #1 pick onto my car.

17x7 Kosei K1-TS
Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Season
225/45/17 OR 215/50/17

Suspension: Racing Beat, MazdaSpeed, or Tanabe GF 210, or something else. Still as confused as freakin' evar on what to do. I'm thinking about trying the MazdaSpeed6 OEM shocks on the 'Speed springs. Or maybe I should go with the Bilstiens??

So undecided on tires and suspension. Do not want coilovers and do not want to hack the stock mounts for Konis. Anyway, heres the pic:

Hard to get the grey color of the wheels to show-up properly. Seems to change based on which pic I find online, so this may be a little dark.
So what do you guys think? I'm almost ready to purchase. I 'chopped the silver version of the Koseis onto the car, but didn't like them as well. Anyone have the light grey on a silver 6?

Nice wheels.

Not a big fan of the center caps. Would you leave those off?

I would.

As fan as suspension, I would go with the Bilsteins. Great quality stuff.

I'm undecided about the center cap. It really doesn't bother me, but on the other hand, it could look much nicer. I don't think I'd like being able to see the bare hubs with the cap removed. These wheels are more for the performance gains (13.7lbs vs 21lbs stockers) than anything else. They just happen to look pretty nice, to boot. 7.3lbs per corner should at least feel noticable on the butt dyno, especially for the 6i which hates extra weight.

Anyone have an opinion on darker rims on a Silver 6? I see mostly bright silver, machines, or black wheels on silver.

I think the silver Kosei's would match your Silver 6 better than the Light Grey. I've got the silver ones on my Steel Grey and I kinda wish I got the light grey instead...nothing on my car really meshes with painted silver. Although, the silver Kosei's do get dirty pretty quickly, especially the fronts, which turn them darker anyway. Actually, it's kind of hard to match anything with those rims because the color has no real shine/gloss to it. I heard they also come in anthracite. I think I saw a forum member that had them.

I don't think I want the wheels to match the car. That's why I hate the stockers so damn much. They are almost the same color as the car. I've never liked matching wheel and paint colors. The light grey gives a bit of contrast. Besides that, I can't stand the black and black/polished lip wheels. Yuck!

Does anyone think the color of the wheels will go well with the silver. I'm pretty sure I don't like the silver version of this well as well. Anyone have the Silver K1-TS on a silver 6??

Here's a little darker version.

It actually looks pretty good. The contrast looks good. If you like it, go for it. At least you know you save a lot of weight.

+1 i've always liked them too but i wish they sold them a lil wider for our cars, like 17x8 or 18x8 or 18x8.5
