So I'm making my wishlist for my car that's now only 1 month old to me :-) And I'm looking for your input.

I've fallen in love with 5-spoke wheels and like the look of the MB Boost:

After reading everything in the suspension section, I am gunning for a 1 1/4in. drop (decided against evening wheel gap to keep weight distribution more even) to pair with with Konis (to improve over stock and not murder my nuts in the city). These wheels are 18x7.5 and Discount Tire shows 3 different tire sizes available BUT for my purposes of pothole hell, desire for better handling, and no desire to break anything (including my nuts) I'm going with the 225/45 tire to give a bit more sidewall. The question is with this mild drop and a larger than stock wheel & tire combo (awesome link:Tire Calculator) will I have clearance issues?

List O Stats:
18x7.5
225/45
Offset 48mm

Am I safe or do I need spacers/rolled fenders...?

This should help any rubbing problems:

Sorry, I'm a smartass.

you wont be needing spacers, although you might need a fender roll, although i have a more aggressive drop (1.5), i think a 1.25 will be close enough to my set up, which i needed a fender roll. i have +48 18x7.5 with 225/40, so i think you'll need them rolled.
