i know im crazy, but let's lay down what im looking at,

im only concerned about the rears
work vs-xx
18x9 +56

ok, with that said, i KNOW these are hella cutting it close to impossible.
but given a relatively high offset for a 9", it might work with the correct tire.
that's question 1, discuss.
i was thinking 225 with maybe a lower profile tire, and use 35 instead of 40, which
leads into question 2...

question 2, i know recommended load index for the 6 is 91+, but technically, wouldn't i still be safe
with a tire that has a lower load index given that i (me, myself) weighs about 110lbs, and usually dont carry
any passenger? can i scrape by with say... a 87? i know a buddy of mine is running 88 (has been doing so
for almost a year now) on his 6, and it's fine.

please help, anything is appriciated.

edit:
after thinking some more, do you guys think i'll have problem clearing the INSIDE against the arm? that might be the bigger problem than fender clearence....

edit2:
yeah, the fender should definately clear, im more worried about the inside, maybe a 1/4in spacer?

Whether or not your buddy has been doing it, it is still not safe. In order to even come close to the oe MINIMUM load requirement, you'd have to have 51 psi in your tires. All the time. It will ride like shit.

And this doesn't even take into account that the tire you're considering is over an inch smaller than the factory size (4.2%). The max smaller you should go is 2%. I don't understand why you're even considering this.

thx Tire Guy for the input,

i guess i'll play it safe with a higher load index.

but on the issue of fitment, do u think i can get away with putting a 225/40/18 on it without hitting the arm?
