I would like to repair some curb rash on one of my wheels. I have a 2004 mazda 6s. The wheels are 17 inches. Does anyone know the paint code or a similar paint product that best matches the stock wheel color. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did the exact same thing to my rims about a year ago. It worked out well until I had new tires put on.

Anyways, I used Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating the alloy or silver color. The color is not exact, it may have been when my wheels were new, but it wasn't at the time I fixed them up.

Here's what I did:
I took the wheels off, cleaned them, cleaned the areas to be fixed really well. then used bondo to fill in rashed spots. Use the bondo with the hardener that you have to add to it. The stuff straight from the tube is crap. You might have to mix up several batches, but this stuff will hold up better. After bondo, sanded them down, masked them off, and primed them, then removed tape. Sand the edges of masked areas to smooth it out. Then spray the spots with silver wheel paint, I used Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating. Then I cleared the spots after paint steps.

The silver color was slightly off (but barely noticable) and it's better than curb rash IMO.

If I was to do it again. I would paint the whole wheel instead of just the spots. Something to think about.
I would clean/sand entire wheel, then do bondo repairs to the curb rash areas, then mask off tires, and paint the whole wheel one nice new color and clear it.
