I plan on selling the wheels in my sig soon. ANd I may have to ship them.

So I'm wondering if anyone else here had to ship wheels and tires, and approximately how much it ran you?

Did you box them, or just cover the wheel with a pice of cardboard and tie it down somehow?

Thanks,
Forrest

When I shipped wheels with tires mounted, I used heavy duty zip ties and shipping tape and fastened 2 wheels together, face to face with a sheet of cardboard between them to keep the wheels from touching each other. This is cheaper than shipping 4 seperately and it prevents wheel face damage. Sorry I can't remember how much it cost me, but I priced them seperately and then together and I saved money the way I did it.

Well.....I was trying to get a gestimate on shipping so I could come up with a fair price for them.

Expect to see them in the for sale section tommorrow!

Rims alone shipped separately will run you $75 to $125 depending on weight. More like $125 to $150 with tires on.

Also remember, check the "oversize" limits with you carrier. Sometimes it is cheaper to send them as a clump, but if you go over the "oversize" or "overweight" limit, they can slap on a surprise surcharge that
will be pretty hefty.

Thanks bud, I was just looking for a ballpark estimate. I'm gonna give a carrier a call today and get a quote.

I shipped all 4 stock rims for ~ $50 ground but then again it was through work so we got a really good deal.
