I'm thinking of getting 18's. I really want black with a chrome lip; Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

Also, after reading the FAQ's and realizing there isn't much updated info there, have there been any reported issues of rubbing with 18x7.5's or 18x8's, with a low profile tire? (maybe a 45)

Just looking for some suggestions/limitations! My 6 is black and currently has the 17" alloys that came with it.

I'll probably be lowering the car just a tad to make the wheels look decent, but I'll do that after I decide on wheels. I figure there are enough different sprigns out there to match the exact drop I'm looking for.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Here was a thread I started polling different rims. Many are black. I'm looking for black ones too but I feel like I'll never find ones I like because I'm so picky!

5zigen makes the fn01r-c in black with a polished rim. I've got a set of 17X7s in silver on my car and the bonus (aside from the fact they aren't too expensive) is that they weigh 15 lbs. each in that size. The 18 inchers weigh several lbs. more but if you don't care about unsprung weight go for the 18s.

+1 if I ever bought wheels these would be it, silver or hyper black most likely.

I got the silvers because I thought they'd look better on my blue car and because they weigh less (but not by much) than the hyper blacks. The stock wheels weigh over 21 lbs. and the car seems to accelerate a little quicker with the lighter wheels. Less rotational mass. There was no way I could justify going with the heavier and more costly 18s especially if the car would not perform better. I think the 17s are the better all-around deal in terms of ride and performance.
