Yeah it should work, people use baseball bats all the time.

Just be very careful. You need to go evenlly through the whole thing or else it will look uneven in the sheet metal.

That method does not seem for the faint at heart, I know I would not try it. Is $300 a lot to roll all fenders? Seems a little pricey, but the risk of screwing up the paint has to affect the total cost. If you really want to do it right and cheap and have some money to move around, you can get the eastwood fender roller and heat gun on ebay for about 225-250. You can use it and sell it again, maybe in the end cost you a hundred bucks total, if that.

I used this tech with a 2" PVC pipe. It works great much better then a baseball bat.

did you.......put the pvc between the wheel and the fender you want to roll, and have someone drive the car slowly forward and backwords?

Just wanted to follow up on this thread and let people know that I did roll the fenders with the 2x4.

1) Jack the car up with a hydraulic jack
2) Place the 2x4 resting on an incline on the tire with the top end against the piece of fender you want to tuck
3) make sure the 2x4's end and the fender you want to roll are lined up(not that important)
4) slowly lower the car while apply lots of force on the 2x4. If you do not apply force to the 2x4 the 2x4 will just slide down not "rolling" any fender
5) take it one step at a time. It took me about 15 times of jacking up and dropping before i got one side done. best of all its free and its fairly quick.

Have fun, just make sure if you want to be extra safe to do it on a hot summer day and dont jack the car up too high. This will ensure you dont mess up the sheet metal, but it will make u do it more times.

Yep, I used a 2 inch diameter PVC pipe and didn't harm the paint. What REALLY help was a heat gun and lots of patience.

While I did not lower my car to apply the force, what I did was get the PVC pipe between the fender and the tire and push the pipe towards the tire. It might not be the smoothest roll but it works and no one ever sees it.
