I have a '03 6 and with 43k miles on it, it is time for new tires. This forum has been great in helping my search. I have brought it down to 4 tires that I need help picking from. I have the 16" wheels (205/60/16).

I live in the Philly area and do a mix of highway/city driving and average about 11k a year. I am looking for a good balanced tire that would not break the bank. Thanks in advance:

- Bridgestone Turanza LS-H (I tried looking for the LS-V, but can't seem to find it in my size)
- Goodyear ResponseEdge
- Yokohama AVID V4S
- B'stone Potenza G 009

I'd like to get the Yoko's, but am having trouble finding them in stock anywhere near me.

My vote is for the G009's (you meant Bridgestone, right ). They are a good tire for the money. I have them on my '88 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible, and they perform quite well. Wet weather handling is good, and they are wearing very well. Hope this helps.

Order the yoko's online. I live in the Philly area as well. My sister drives like a nut and the V4s on her contour held up really well.
Even with all the potholes on I95.

I have had good luck with the Bridgestone Potenza's in the past and have heard some good reviews for the Yokohama's

These would be my choice if you favor a quiet, smooth ride over handling. Treadlife is good, but I personally think it's a little too soft for the 6 (ie. not sporty enough)

I've heard mixed opinions on these tires. A little pricey as well.

My pick of the group. There are a lot of other 6 owners on this forum that has them, and swear by them as well. I'm planning on purchasing a set for my 17" rims in a few months.

I've heard mixed opinions on these as well. Stealth01 had them, and wasn't too impressed.

Check out Tirerack.com. They'll have the tires you need in stock, and despite shipping costs, they usually end up being less expensive than some tire shops and the big chain stores. Plus, they have an option of shipping directly to a local tire shop in your area. I've bought 2 sets of winter tires and a set of all-seasons from them. Their service is excellent, their prices are reasonable, and I've never had a problem with their products or shipping. Highly recommended.

You should go with either the V4S or the G009. I used to have the G009's on my old car, a 3rd gen eclipse. In the little bit of snow I drove them in they ran fine, excellent in the rain, and a fairly quiet tire. I couldn't complain. Why are you not looking into the Toyo Proxes? I heard they are good tires, maybe a little expensive though.

interesting I too had it more or less narrowed down to the Yokohama AVID V4S and Bridgestone Potenza G009. Been reading the reviews of both right now as I only have 2600 miles on my exisiting tires. I like to plan ahead. I am leaning towards the AVIDS at the moment as I like how they look.
