So, I'm going to get my fenders rolled this weekend and I'm debating on just doing the rears or trying for all four. My understanding so far is that for most applications that just the rears are required. When you rolled did you just do the rears? What size tire and rim combo do you have? Is your car dropped? Are the fronts more difficult to roll?

Here's what I'm getting and what I'm having done: Enkei Evo 5's 18x7.5 with 235/40/18 Kumho Ecsta SPT's (the car is at stock height 04 6S). Obviously with that size tire the rears are a must, but the fronts I don't know. I'm having some delivery issues with the tires and rims so I have a little time to decide this weekend when the fenders get rolled.

So, what did you do and what do you think?

Does it cost more to do the fronts as well? If it isn't much more, I say go for all 4.

There's nothing to roll in the front.

I just did rears. riding on evo6's, 18x7.5 with 225/40/18's and on mazdaspeed springs. only my left rear was rubbing which was weird.....

oh and my w7 box and amps weigh a ton so they drop it an extra 1/2 inch or so.

But definitely at least the rears.

Cool, thanks for the info. Looks like I'm going to have the rears done Saturday. I wanted the rims on before that but I'm still waiting on one of the rims to come in because they sent the wrong one.

It seems like no matter what wheel and tire combo you have, you need to roll the fenders or you will rub. I would love to pick up a set of Work Emotion XT7 rims, if I can find the cash. I was going to go with 18x7.5 in the gun metal finish. I think I need to go with a +48 offset, or will a +42 work? I was hoping not to have to roll the fenders and probably will not lower the car at all. I was hoping for a little help on the offset and tire size.
Thank you

It seems like everyones experience with rubbing or not rubbing varies pretty widely. From what I've read some people with 225/40's don't rub, 225/45's will rub and 235/40's will definately rub but it's not 100% in each of those cases. If you're not dropped 225/40's *may* work without rubbing depending on the tire iteself (there's also some variation in tire widths between manufacturers in the same size). Obviously the higher the offset the better off you'll be in regards to rubbing, with a +42 and a 225 I think you're guaranteed to have to roll but with a +48 and a 225 you may not have to (again, dependent on the tire).

I'm getting my fenders rolled tonight (hopefully) and new rims and tires on Monday (Enkei Evo 5's 18.7.5 +45 with Kumho Ecsta SPT 235/40/18) and some people seem to think I'll be close but ok without rolling and others think that it'll rub for sure. I'm just going to roll and I should be ok even though the tire place installing them says they've done a number of 6's with that combo without any rubbing issues. I guess the only way to know for sure is to get the rims and tires on the car and see if it rolls.
