I am going to autoX my car again soon. I have recently purchased a set of 18x8 RX-8 wheels with the pilot sport cup tires on them (225/40/18). The problem is that one is corded and I need to replace it. I have a supplier for gently used (if that is possible) racing rubber in this tire, but he only has 235/40 18. Is is possible to set the car up with this stagger? The DSC will be off for auto crossing! Also, should I put the larger in the rear like a RWD? Please help! Thanks

Only if the tire diameters are exactly the same... and if so, you'd want to put the wider tires up front.

well, 225/40 and 235/40 are not going to be the same, but close. Is the biggest problem the awd being that the drive train needs to spin at the same speed?

You could risk burning up the center differential with the overall diameters not being the same.
