So I am looking at buying some used wheels and tires (the wheels are what I am really after, but he won't separate) and the tires that come with the wheels are Toyo Proxes FZ4 in a 225/35/18.
Is running a 35 tire a bad idea? If I were to buy new it would be either a 40 or 45 but if this will work I will use them until I need to buy new tires. Does anybody use that size and if so how is the ride? Thanks for any info or input!

Well, according to Toyoguy these are the correct tire size choices for an 18" rim.
215/45R18 7.0"-8.0" 32 psi *original equipment size* 225/40R18 7.5"-9.0" 38 psi 225/45R18 7.0"-8.5" 32 psi 235/40R18 8.0"-9.5" 33 psi 245/40R18 8.0"-9.5" 32 psi Your load index must be greater than 91, otherwise it's dangerous to run a tire under that rating, so it is a bad idea. Your tire will def be under that 91 mark, so your going to have to jack up the PSI. I tried looking for your tires load rating on Toyo's site but I couldn't find it, the only sizes in 18" they have listed with specs are 225/40, 245/40, and 215/35. Be safe and buy a new set of tires. You don't want to see a rim getting bent, or worse a tire blowing out!

225 40 18 is the norm for 18x7.5 that wheel size/tire size seems to be the most popular.... plus your thank your self for the 40 series sidewall the first time you rack a big bump...

Sent pm to pobody, but for the board, 225/35R18 as stated by others is not a good idea.

yes, thanks to all for replying. I ended up not buying the wheels and tires mainly because it was going to be to big of a hassel. I had a pretty good idea that I shouldn't buy with those tires, but just had to make sure...
