I know this question has been ask a hundred times before, I own a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 and would like some after market wheels, my car came with 18 in wheels. can someone please tell me just how wide can I go, I was looking at some 18x8 with 45 mm offset, will this work? I do not wish to roll the fender lips. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Well, you could use the search feature... That said, the Tirerack tests their stuff pretty well, and they sell 18X8s for use with the stock tires for the MS6, you should be cool with anything you order from there...

If you stick with the 215/45R18 oe size, it might work without rubbing. If you really want to play it safe, stay with +48 and higher.

If you know it has been asked a hundred times before, and you know that the site has a search feature... well, you can figure out why I am going to say.

Save yourself money, time, and headaches. Stick with Mazda OEM wheels. Have you thought about the RX-8 wheels? The possible loss in performance, impact on vehicle handling and safety, and possible long-term effects (such as bearing wear) just don't make the bling worth it. You may be suprised how much better OEM wheels can look with more aggressive tires.

I swapped out my stock steel 16 rims for a barely used set of 17in OEM aluminum wheels. I fitted the wheels with 225 45 ZR17 General Exclaim UHP tires. The look is distinctive. The handling is crisp. The ride is quite. I didn't sacrifice much comfort. They were inexpensive. And, most importantly, I didn't mess up the car's engineering. Good luck.

wheels arent that expensive, they dont take much time to put on (20-30 min), and my head feels great. lighter rims will actually increase performance, better tires will increase handling.........go aftermarket if you want aftermarket. Mazda does not make their cars PERFECT for every situation straight out of the factory, OEM parts arent necessarily the best, they have to think of cost, so there are many aftermarket parts you can buy to make the car better.

OEM is not the best route. if u want stock, go for a stock look.

if u do ur research, you'll know exactly what to get to not adversly effect the car's characteristics
