so i am fairly new to the wheel/tire forum (been reading a lot lately) and there was a question that came up in the motegi interest thread about the quality of motegi rims. so i ask this:
what are some good quality rim brands in terms of paint, durability, etc.? what are some factors that determine quality (how the wheels are forged, painted, etc.)? the reason i ask is that i am looking for some gunmetal 17s that can withstand the occasional pot hole (i go to an urban-set university) and i'd like to be informed prior to putting down some cash. thanks for the help, peeps.

Hoosteen...
Lots of people have bent, damaged, and even destroyed 17 inch wheels on the 6. Even those with forged wheels. You hit a big enough pothole, it doesn't matter what material your rim is made of. Only the result of the damage differs. |
