Trying to put a set of 19X7.5 with a 42mm off set with a set of 225/35/19 tires. Will that fit? What does the off set actually do for you?

Two stickys that you should look through:
http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=21280 http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=16108 Anyway, the offset is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. Our offset for the stock 17x7's is +60. You want to stick as close to that as possible. 19x7.5 +42 could probably fit, though you'll need to roll your rear fenders. I hope you know that you're gonna end up being slower if you go with 19s. |

yeah, I read both of those and was still a little foggy. I was looking for anyone who had done this set up before and what they found. Speed is not what I'm after anyone I'm really just going for the look more than anything.

Im running 19x7.5 +42, no fitment issues here and im dropped on eibachs without fender rolling.
Ill sacrifice the "look" of the rim width to keep from tearing up my tires/fenders from going with a wider 19" wheel. Not to mention fender rolling would be a necessity with 19x8 and 225/35 tires, and it sometimes could be a hassle to locate one And like someone else said, if you are looking at 19's rarely are you trying to build a race car. Why people keep bringing up performance when someone inquires about 19's I will never know. |

1) Tires will have insufficient load rating.
2) Wheels do not have sufficient offset. Maybe if you ran 215/35/19's, but then see problem #1. Quote:

It's all over the forums, I think the sticker on the driver door, if that's where it is I have yet to look for it, has all the recommended information regarding tires.
