In Tirerack's instructions for putting the wheels on, they recommend putting "anti-sieze" stuff on the hub before screwing the wheel on. I guess around the studs and stuff. This will make it easier to take the wheel off in the future.

Given the fact that the stock wheels can literally refuse to come off the car at times, I feel a need to take this recommendation lol.

I went to walmart but didn't really know what to look for. What is the stuff called? Any particular brand name or spray or paste etc? How much should I put on?

Go to your local AutoZone, Advanced, Pep Boys, or whatever. There are many choices out there I'm sure but the one I found comes in a silvery-gray bottle with orange and blue lettering and its called anti-seize compound. It's in a jar shaped like for rubber cement and it has a built in brush in the cap like rubber cement. It's only a couple bucks and well worth the hassle.

Look in the area where they sell the gasket makers and loc-tite. You should find it with that stuff.

OK, I got some from a local Ace Hardware since Autozone didn't have any in the jar (they had some single use packets that look like wet map packets and some tiny tubes).

Where do I put this stuff? Do I just put it at the bases of the lug studs or do I lather it all over the entire hub? I don't want to put too much on and have the entire wheel fall off on the highway one day lol.

Yep it's in the right place...

Can I just ask tho- why is the disc so rusty? Looks like hub off a car that's been sitting in someone's paddock for the last three years....
