Default Finally picked some rims...

I gave up on finding the perfect rim and settled for the Kosei K1 TS 17" rims. For tires I got the Yokohama AVS dB S2. The tire size I picked was 225/45/ZR17. The Kosei's were the only rims I could find that looked ok and were way lighter than stock, so I made the hard decision to pick "GO" instead of "SHOW", not to mention the +50 offset is as close as it gets to stock. All of the more attractive rims were too heavy, and too far from the stock offset to suit my performance tastes.

I'll post some pics when they get here Friday. I ordered off of tirerack.com. I wanted some Toyos or Falkens but tirerack does not offer either, however it is the only online site I found that offers road hazard protection.

A pic of the rim is below. I did make sure to tell them to switch the valve stems with silver ones, unfortunately I could not do the same with the center caps. I might just paint my calipers red to match the center caps.

.....Updated pics below.....

These rims look way better in person, I must say I am pretty impressed. The combo weighs 38lbs vs the 41lb OE tire/rims I took off, have only gotten 1 hwy drive so far, and atlanta traffic was so bad didn't get to open it up much, but so far they feel great. I am thinking about leaving the red stems and painting my calipers red to match, but I'm not sure yet.

Below is the pic that decided it for me. It is off the Mazda6Tech forum. I don't think they really go with the 6 either, but as light as they are and an almost OE offset, I gave in.

"Settled"? Don't think they go with the 6?? Bah, I love these rims. I think they're a perfect fit for the car. They're not bling, for sure, but I laugh at people who appreciate bling. They look awesome, ride awesome, great value overall. Check my sig for pics of the gunmetals on white.

I have never been a fan of dark rims. I was not looking for bling...chrome only looks good on black IMO, but the design of the kosei's just didn't strike me as fitting for the car.

But I am all about performance, so I chose it over looks. The rims certainly aren't ugly, but not exceptional either IMO.
