I'm thinking about getting a black 6 Wagon, but if I would I would want to eventually get some new wheels. I think I would want to go with a set of chrome 18's, something like the Enkei LM or the Kazera KZ-A. I've tried to read the forums to see if I can glean answers to questions before asking, but I feel like a high school dropout taking organic chemistry. I have a few questions.
First, are these good choices for wheels? I've read one user with the Enkei but no one with the Kazera. I want a 5 spoke design that adds a bit of luxury and class to the car. Second, what wheel size would be best? From what I understand, 18" and 7.5 is a good choice, and a 45 offset while not optimal would work, but depending on the tire some fender roll is necessary. Is there a better size wheel that I should look for? Ideally I would not want to roll the fender, but if its needed the plunge can be taken. Third, what tire should match that wheel? I'm primarily want a smooth/quiet ride and responsive handling and turning over speed. What are good sites to look for tires? I'm willing to sacrifice some dry performance if it means better grip on wet surfaces. Fourth, will I need new shocks to lower the car? From what I understand what I've read here, larger wheels can increase the gap in certain sections between the wheel and fender and make the car look more like a SUV unless you lower the car. It seems like lowering is a necessity for good looks, but I want to confirm that. |

1. Kazera KZ-A
2. The bigger the offset the better. I went +48 3. 225/40ZR18 or 215/40ZR18 Name brand strictly opinion 4. Going with a good shock spring combo would be preferred, but most are just lowering with springs and maintaining the factory shock |

Thanks for the info.
It seems like the Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S would be the right tires to use in combo with either wheels. I hope I can find people with Kazera wheels that can vouch for their quality. |
