I have a 04 Mazda6s and am looking to get a set of ADR 19 inch rims with an 8.5 inch width. I was wondering if these will fit without rolling the fenders or any other modifications. There are no tires on them and i wanted to go with a set of 215/35/19s. Will the 215 b wide enough and if not how wide can i go before the tire rubs against the upper bushing with that bar running behind the tire....Thanks

I don't even think that tire will fit on a 8.5" rim . Plus I'm almost 100% sure it will rub even w/ rolling the fenders

If you take a look at your front suspention, one of the arms extend just behind the wheel. This has a gap of about 1/2 of an inch. I don't think that a 8.5 inch wide wheel will fit on the front, as the stocks are 7 inches wide (i think, or mabee 7.5)

I think that would have fitment issues, 8.5 is pretty wide vs stock, specially with all that extra diameter. Also don't be surprised if you wear through brake pads like no tomorrow, have slow braking times, worse handling, and slower acceleration.

thanx 00000 for the link it was real helpful.
I am only gonna use the rims for june, july, and august, as Syracuse has horrible weather. I know that i will get worse braking time and slower accel, but i want to go as big as possible and i dont race with it. I seen someone on here that had 19s on theyre 6 and they looked real nice. I put the rim on the car (without the tire) to see how it fits when its next to that bar, and it did not touch. it actually looks like i have enough room to put a low series tire, at least a 35. I think it will work and i hope it does, cause i am getting these rims for a fifth of what they are worth and theyre new in the box. Is there any type of tire that i can buy that will not push out that much, so i have some more clearance from that bar?? thanx Kyle :seeya |

for the 6, i honestly see no way thats going to work in everyday driving without problems, especially without wanting to roll fenders
and in addition to rubbing you may also want to think about how exposed your rims are going to be with that size tire. the MAX width wheel that will work on 215/35/19 tire is 8.5, but your rims will slightly protrude from the tires and will be left more vulnerable/exposed to curbs and such. is it worth it?? |

they are ADRs but i am not sure what type. I looked on their website and they were not listed, so they a re probably last years model, that may be the reason i am getting the whole set for so cheap. I was looking at getting some spacers to move the rim away from the bar, and i called a few places to roll the fenders. I have a few friends that work at aftermarket installation shops and i can get it done for about 200 all said and done...so i will probably go that route so i can get the 225s and be able to do a full turn.
I know that i will have to take alot pf precaution when driving but the way they look will be all worth it...If i knew how to make a webpage then i would show yall but oh well... So do yall think that using these rims for only about 5000 miles a year will actually do any damage to my suspension? Thanx... Kyle :seeya |

I think one of the nicer sets of rims out right now are the Ro_ja Formula 1's. They are forged monoblock wheel which means they are extra strong, and pretty damn light. I would get a set of these myself, but they only come in 19" and 20," and even though 19's and 20's looks sweet, the inherent ride quality of having wheels that big but with very little rubber on them I don't feel is worth the sacrifice. At least for me at this point, so I am sticking with 18's. These though would probably look sick on a 6. They are available 19x8 (5x114.3 Lug) with +40, +45, and +55 offsets. That range should cover whatever fitment is required by the 6. I have come across a few places that offer these at "cheap" prices, but I guess cheaper would be the relative and operative term. When you are talking 19" wheels and then talking about Ro_ja, you are going to be dropping a fair amount of coin. Vividracing.com has them for about $510 per, and as things go, $2040 isn't that bad for a set of 19" wheels, especially of that quality. I am not a Ro_ja spokesperson or anything. These are just probably amongst my all-time favorite sets of wheels and I would like to see them on someone's 6 if it is not going to be my own for the time being. Here are some links...
