eric at tireswap tells me that you're running ssr competition wheels on your 6. i've been looking at those wheels. could i please see a photo of them on your car? also, have you had any issues with rubbing?

the pics are right there on the link with the SSR wheels. I have seen those pics posted on the wheel page before. Also I like the wheels but they look to small on the car...too much side wall. He has 17s but i do think they would look great if they were in 18s which i am almost positive they make because i swear i have seen those ssr's in 18s on a bmw m3

With the 18x8 ET=48mm and 225/45 I think you will have some problem with the fender specially if you drop your 6

the 18x8 will definitely be pushing it, and a fender roll would be needed for sure. As for rubbing issues after that.... well try it and let us know :)
