I have opened a new topic since I had so many problems posting a response at "Foose "Lusso" 18x7.5 45 offset". SpecV and ATL have done great things.
I have been looking at these 18x7 Miglia EV-S. Tirerack recommends tire size 225/45-18 (wheel offset +45mm). These wheels (bolt pattern 5-114) weight 28.5. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/millemig/millemig.jsp I have been reading a lot and specially the topic "Foose "Lusso" 18x7.5 45 offset". ATL has +45 offset 18x7.5 with 215/40/18 tires and they don't rub. My questions: Am I OK with what Tirerack is recommending? Please understand that I don't know much about this, so, I would like some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Are you gonna lower the car at any stage?
You may want to consider 40 series tyres instead of the 45 as well |

18x7 w/45 offset should fit even better than 18x7.5 w/45 offset.
Unfortunately I have found with the 45 offset wheels(18x7.5) that there is periodic rubbing with 225/40-18 Khumo tires and we are going to experiment with other brands or sizes of tires to see what fits with NO RUBBING. GRRRR this is frustrating. We noticed no problems for the first few days, (my wife was driving) Then we open it up a little after a week or so and WHAT WAS THAT. GRRRR %$#*&!!!! Not bad but still there. There could be differences in different tire brand. There sure is a difference in the squareness of the corner of the tire between the Continentals on my Sentra SER SpecV and the Khumos on the 6. But to answer your question a 45 offset on a 7" wide wheel will stick out 1/4 inch LESS than a 45 offset on a 7.5" wheel and should be fine but a 215 tire would be safer than a 225. When I get a difinitive answer on the 18x7.5 and what ever tire works out I will post it here. |

Thank you ATL. Your car looks great! Have you had passengers on the back seat?
What kind/model of Eibach do you have?
