Default damn tire blowout!

so - tonight was coming back from the GF's house and while rounding a corner, my tire slipped toward the tall edged lip of the road and BANG! hit hard enough to blow out the tire...

so i get out, and change the tire - what a pain in the butt (anyone ever take out the jack in a new car? it's a bitch!) so anyways...

my car has 4500 miles on it, would mazda replace the tire? :D

hmmm, mine came with a road hazard warranty for the first x amount of miles. If a rock hit my windshield, mazda replaced, got a flat, mazda replaced, and so on... at least thats what i was told when i bought it

Unless you have a special policy like g-cubed has... I doubt they would replace the tire.... youre lucky though since your car is pretty new, you can buy one replacement tire....

Friend of mine just got a flat in his brand new Accord. While he was changing it on the side of the road, it fell off the jack doing some damage. That's gotta hurt. He's debating paying for it himself or taking out a "I'm a dumbass" claim under comprehensive insurance, going to get a quote first.

What are the details on your road hazard warranty g-cubed? I wasn't offered anything like that either. Just the tire manufacturer's warranty against defects booklet that everyone gets.

Call up the manufacturure. I had a peice of metal cause a hole in my michelin energy mxv4 plus(stock with 16" rims) and called um up and even though road hazards not covered, they gave me 75% off the new tire. Michelin's number is 18008473435 if that's what you have. And I also stressed the fact that I had low mileage.

The tires have a standard warrenty, its in the glove box. If the tire does not have that many miles on it and it blew out, something is wrong. Of course if the blow out was because the tire hit the curb.... Well, that might be hard for the tire guys to prove. I would tell them you wanted a new tire and see what happens, the worst they can say is no, and youll end up buying a new tire, which is what you would have doen anyways.

I hit a pothole Monday while I was with my GF and got a flat along with a warped rim. Total cost to fix it: $468.33 (tire + rim + aignment and labor). So now i have to put in a claim against the city and hope they pay out. You should try the same. But at least being from Cali you didn't have to worry about your wheel freezing to the car and not being able to get it off.
