Default High performance tires

Just ordered a beautiful set of new rims, 18x7.5s, and need to nail down the tire choice before i have them delivered. Ive cruised the net and come up with three "finalists".

Here are my choices:
Toyo TS1
Pirelli PZero Nero
Or Michelin Pilot Sport

The size will be a 225/40/18.

Im leaning towards the Pirelli because I like the brand and the euro supercar heritage, but the reviews ive read about the Toyos are very impressive.

Ive got some time because the wheels are going to take 3 monthes to build, but id love to get the tire order finalized so im ready to roll come March.

Thanks for the help.

I'd get either the Toyo's (Thats what I'm getting myself) or...

If you wanted supreme grip at the cost of longevity...get falken Azenies Sports.

Yeah those are sweet, thinking about getting those myself when I get rims. Or Yokoham AVS ES100. Not the best tire I know, but good price and still a decent tire.

You mean the Yokohoma AVNoisy MuchNoise100?

I'd recommend the Toyo T1-S too - if all season ability is not important. Otherwise - the Falken ZIEX (proven) or Toyo Proxes4 (seem as good, if not better). Continental makes nice tires too - they're somewhat noisier, from what I've heard.

Wheels, tires, fluids and roof-mounted bike/ski rack. That's enough mods for me!

Btw...the Toyo T1-S's supposedly tear the living hell outta rain.

They just don't do squat in snow conditions.

Didn't some magazine rate the T1-S as the best rain tire on the market?

I have the continentals (see my sig) and I love them, they are light weight, super grip, not loud, realitively cheap, and you can get them at discount tire.

Actually, that figures - I must've been misinformed. BMW uses Contis, and we all know BMW can do no wrong ;)

For me the Toyo Proxes T1S 225/45 R17 work great in Dry and Wet roads
Weights:
225/25 R17 = 20.9 lbs
225/35 R18 = 20.5 lbs
245/35 R 18 = 22.9 lbs
