I read the sticky in this section, but i still don't quite understand what offset is.

Offset is basically how far your wheels stick out from the car.The lower the number the farther out to the side your wheels will extend. Too low of a number and you will have fitment issues with the wheel not fitting in the wheel well because it will extend too far out and hit the lip. Too high of a number (though you probably won't have this problem with the 6) and the wheel will be too far inside of the wheel well. Maybe scraping the inside of the wheel well including your shocks. Hope this helps you out some.
