Default Refined Wheels Page

I've been doing a little work (cleaning up the wheels page).

I know for sure that most of the information is true, but there are a few things that I got from this forum in undisputed threads. Please have a look at the page and let me know if I've made any mistakes.

How did you verify that weight?

Mazda claimed 21.2lbs, but two owners weighed them at (I think) 23+ lbs.

Brillo contacted Mazda and that was their reply. Check here

I noticed a couple of other weights floating around, but I wanted to stick with the most official. If we get some verification that the wheels are heavier, I'll update it.

Awesome work, Doc! I'd just call the hub size an even 67mm, though. That one guy (sorry, can't remember who) said 67.1, and I myself measured 66.8 and 67.0 for my two LH hubs and I'm pretty sure hubring sizes are just listed in even increments: check out www.prestigewheels.com

Awesome page Doc. Just a suggestion that might help all, maybe add the aftermarket wheel requirements when going bigger? :D I am sure that will help alot of people! Then sticky this thread!

Bossman- Good point. I don't think the one tenth of a mm would make much difference anyway. I'll change that.

Mazdaspeed6s- I'd like to have something on aftermarket wheels, but I can't find enough information yet. Some speculation and a few trial fits, but I didn't see enough info to post anything definative. I'm thinking that, in time, there will be two or three aftermarket wheels that dominate the 6 community.

Yes, I remember that thread. My reservation about it is that the response from Mazda came before the car was even available in the US... call it the "speculation" time. Mazda themselves didn't always know what they were talking about then. While something like the wheel weight shouldn't have changed, it still makes me nervous that other owners have estimated their wheel weights to be 23lbs.
