Hi there,I am new here and relatively new in Canada as well( about 12 months ),so i will be very grateful for any suggestion.
I have Mazda 6 Gt sport wagon 2006,just got it recently.it still has 9 months of bumper to bumper warranty and 2.9 years powertrain warranty as well.
I wondering if this place-All Tune Car Care Centre ,Richmond location - good enough in term of job and parts quality (the prices are good)
and second question: I have no idea ,if my Mazda warranty will be affected as result of service in this place.

Thanks a lot guys

welcome to the club!

you can sign in and introduce yourself/car HERE. you can also join our group on facebook, just search for "vancouver mazda6 club".

As for the place you're talking about, I have never been there. I have gone too "Rich City" which is at the end of no.5 and steveston. the dealerships recommend them as well.

For warranty.... that would depend what you plan on doing to your car. What "service" are you talking about?

if it's just service, it should be fine. modifications, on the other hand, may affect your warranty.

Welcome to the club!

If you're adventurous, you could do all of that pretty much on your own. Spark plugs I 've done at least 3 or 4 times on my car (mostly cause I've had to replace those crappy pulstar plugs a bunch of us tried a while ago)... its a pain in the butt for the V6 but its doable on your own. I recommend a good quality plug like NGK Irdium IX's... the ones I have.

I think Mazda alone charges over $300 for the spark plug work -- which is probably about right considering they charge $100 per hour and it's a bit of a hassle to get out the intake manifold to get to the rear plugs.

PCV replacement I've done too, its also pretty straight forward. I bought two PCV valves and still have a spare unused one sitting around here somewhere. I think they were less than $20 for the two of them.

Pads I did myself as well, its easy. I ended up using Raybesto's pads -- reasonably priced aftermarkets but I've been very very happy with them.

And oil/filter is easy as well... I bought a whole case of v6 oil filters and still have a lot left.

Sparkplugs is $320 at Mazda. Really stupid in that there's no way to access the rear bank of sparkplugs without removing intake manifold on the V6. Regular maintenance won't void your warranty. If you do any regular maintenance yourself (such as oil change and stuff), just make sure you have receipts to prove that you bought the oil and are changing it regularly. As for modifications, they will not void your warranty unless the modification you did can be proven to be the direct cause of your failure. Oh, and welcome to the club.

+1 they'll say anything even if it makes no sense. anything to get out of warranty work... and they don't have to prove anything. for example, you might have springs and then if you have something go wrong with your exhaust they'll say something like its too low. hahaha

boy does that sound familiar or how bout when your MAF sensor is fried and they won't replace it under warranty because it is "touching" the CAI.

signature mazda FTL. westcoast mazda FTW. i wonder how westcoast is now, ever since they got taken over by openroad.
