Ive been discussing it with some of the guys already & plan to get as many of us out as possible.

JD? You mean the guy who traded his 6 in for a Kia? :P

You can go ahead & my name to the list as well. I certainly wont be missing this.

Awesome, thank you sir.

Just added a rough rendering of the parking situation and whatnot to the OP.

First year we had about 60 cars and we fit everyone in "Section 1" of the parking area. Hopefully we have even more people this year and will have to use the open area of the lot rather than just the edges

Do we still have last time's spreadsheet of needed items? That way we can start planning what we might need. Also now is the time to start putting in for vacations.

Do you even have to ask if we will be there?

I still have copies of the full itinerary from the first event. We'll have to make some small modifications but I think that day went perfectly so we shouldn't really change anything. Perhaps push the times back a little so we don't have to wait quite as long for the trip to the summit.

Yeah there was a bit of a lull after the raffle finished and we could go up. I'm sure we could come up with something to fill it if need be or push lunch back to 2ish. It still took a while to set up for everything.

Though, honestly, I think the people who stayed around and played some silly lawn games had a good amount of fun. I think we should plan on bringing those again.

Perhaps we'll make it an all-day thing, but we'll also schedule a Kancamagus highway cruise at a specific time (say 2:00) that will arrive around 3 - 4:30. We eat and raffle from 4 - 5:30 and cruise at 6:30. Something to that extent.

The biggest thing I worry about is weather, which is part of the reason I was in favor of pushing the event back a bit this year. The last few Junes and Julys have been rainy.

Midday cruse might not be a bad idea. Most of us who set up missed the cruise because we were working. And depending on weather I'm sure some people would take a small hike, or we can bring lawn darts.

Yeah we'll see what works best. There's a big grass area right next to the parking lot, so we could always bring lawn darts or any other BBQ-type game.

I forget how well-groomed that grass is though, I believe it was kept low enough to walk without problem.

I don't think we should have people arrive, THEN go out for a cruise though. The Kanc is a good hour from base camp, so we don't want people to have to drive past it just to turn around and drive it again. Keeping things later in the day will allow people from further to not have to get up as early.
