Brake Service Centers/Brake Pad Types - Mazda 6 Forums : Mazda 6 / Mazda Atenza Forum

This is a 2 part question and help with either would be appreciated.

First, I have an '04 6 with a fair amount of miles which is in desparate need of new brakes at all 4 corners. I may even need rotors! I have searched the web and asked several friends locally (non-Mazda owners), but have not had much luck identifying a quality service shop to do the work.

I need some assistance from the Central NJ group to find a top-notch repair shop in the area that does a great job, but is also fair with its pricing. Obviously a dealer is quite expensive at $265 - $285/axle for composite pads replacement only. For rotors, I am hearing $140/corner. Please share some of your best known shops for this job in Central to Northern NJ.

Second, the big question for me is composite versus ceramic. I understand the benefits of ceramic, and I am very interested in switching. However, has anyone switched pads without chaning the rotors? What kind of experiences have you had? And, what brand is consistently solid (Hawk, Satisfied, Akebono, Others)?

Please aid me in this search.

pm blackMS6 and he will do the work for you for cheap. ive heard great thing about the EBC red stuff pads.
