Hello all,
I have an 05 6i (101k miles) and I am having an annoying chirp noise that occurs whenever I make a right turn - whether it be a u-turn, pulling into parking spot etc. I can't really tell whether the noise is coming from the right or left side of the front end. The car is making a chirping noise that occurs once per wheel rotation and speed plays a factor in the noise. You have to be turning right fast enough to put enough load on left side of the car to make it chirp. Last edited by Dice719; 11-11-2012 at 06:43 PM. |

You might want to check your ball joints, the 6 has two lower and 1 upper. My car makes the same noise you described, it's like this loud squeal. The lowers are well known to go out on sixes. Hope that helps

Had the suspension looked at and the only problem found was a slightly torn cv boot (front passenger). Everything else was fine.

It could be a wheel bearing. Ive seen wheel bearings with no play but make noise.
Beings there is a tear in the CV boot you may have some debris & stuff in there causing the noise. Sent from my iPhone using Autoguide.com Free App

CV without a doubt! Debris and Cack if the boot is split. Good diagnosis Smokey!#
