I feel the front brakes are lacking. Their 299mm, the CX-7's are 320mm which should provide a nice increase in braking power. Question is would they fit? Any ideas peeps?

I'd think they would fit, but why not go with speed6 brakes?

Then why not buy better brakes that were design for the car? CX-7 brakes were design for the CX-7, not the Mazda6.

Especially considering that we have multiple BBKs available from a number of reputable companies, I don't see why hacking together a bigger brake kit makes any sense.

The stock rotors are just fine. Get better pads.

Fuck all the previous suggestions: get better tires.

Aside from the driver, obviously, tires are the deciding factor in coming to a stop. New pads/rotors/whatever will just help in pedal feel, resistance to fade, and initial bite.

Ding ding ding! Tell him what he's won, Johnny!

All things being equal, stopping distance is largely determined by tire grip before they're finally overcome by braking force resulting in wheel lock up.

@ all the other comments besides tires, he's got a 2nd gen, so there's no BBK kits available, i think...

Same brake components from 06+: 11.8" front, 11.1" rear rotors.
