I finally snapped some pics of my car with the first Auto EXE down-low springs. I had these imported from Japan since I couldn't wait for the US-companies to decide whether they were going to develop/release their own version. It was worth the 2 month wait.

First off, the improvements are amazing. Right away, these springs reduced the body roll drastically. It feels more sporty now on the turns and less like a boat rocking in the ocean. Visually, AutoEXE claims to drop the car 30mm and I measured just a hair over an inch....so it should settle right at what was expected.

The before and after pics aren't the best being on an angled driveway, but it was the only shot I had of the car before the install, so I wanted a comparison from a similar position. The fronts took an hour and a half since I was using a manual spring compressor. The rear took 20 minutes for both. I'll have the alignment checked out this week to see if any changes occurred.

Rear close-up installed:

Front close-up installed:

Front shot of them installed. You can see the tinted side markers as well.

After measurement:

Looking good, I believe you are the first NA 2nd Gen 6 that I've seen lowered. With AutoExe too! How much did that cost you?

Those pics needs to log in to view...

Oops, forgot about the login limitation....fixed the links. Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I better be the first one. It's SOCAL. $$ I bought these back in November and was just waiting on the container to get full enough to bring them overseas. I actually received the product last month, but was in New York at the time. I was one of the first, if not the first, to buy the 09 model in CA and within the first 50 overall for NA. I would only feel comfortable saying the cost to fellow Mazda enthusiasts....but it's almost triple what the Eibach's will sell for. I didn't want to wait for Eibach's official release, even with their HQ just 5 minutes from me, but they have the R&D already done for the application iirc. Plus I knew I would get quality with the AutoEXE product. I had some gold Super Advan's to throw on, but now I'm thinking of going with something more subtle like the Enkei's. I'm waiting until I am certain that I won't get sick of the wheels before committing though.

Looks very nice. I had my Accord Coupe lowered with Eibach Sportlines when I was in So Cal. I moved out to the Midwest and had a kid, so I had to sell it and get something family and winter friendly. I loved the handling and look of a lowered car, but I think I'll just admire others now.

looks good. I'd go with the 6/12 spokes, thoe 3/6 will look old fast IMO.

notice any seemingly imbalance do to the USDM's being bigger for the JDM's for which they were designed?

And what was the exact lowering figure, looks 1.5 or 2 ". this is VERY important to me because of the local roads/potholes!

Thanks. It feels a lot better than stock. The biggest difference is the reduction in side to side movement. It's not that low. It's a tad less than 1.2".

I got the alignment looked at and it was a tad off. The shop had no problem with aligning it. Now I have to figure out what wheels and get the ball rolling on that.

Did you have any camber problems? (too much negative camber) Or did you manage to stay within the acceptable range?
