I was wondering does anyone else on here get front wheel hop? Let me explain, when I have the ebrake up one click (i do this just to have some fun, so please no flaming) and say I'm in 1 or 2 gear and gas it when the front wheels lose traction I get pretty bad wheel hop. what would be the best way to fix the wheel hop? I've been browsing this forum for a while but I don't post often, but I haven't come across anything addressing this problem, I know that's because not many people do that but I'd like to hear some suggestions for the best way of getting rid of wheel hop, and generally the couple of times I've tried it the road was fairly flat.
And I don't do that often, I've just noticed it the couple of times I've tried it. Thanks for the help. |

The car doesn't have wheel hop unless you do something completely stupid like pull up the ebrake handle to disengage the AWD system and then try to make it do burnouts. There is nothing to fix besides the operator of your car.

what he said^
Remember this car breaks the REAR axle with all four pulling. Think about what that's gonna do to your front drivetrain, in a high shock, full power hit. over and over and over again. you could lower the traction available, water or bleach or crappy tires, whatever but heaven help your credit cards if you get traction

sorry for a noob question but i dont understand the point of pulling up ebrake to have "some fun" in an awd car? to me having fun in an awd car is when few inches of snow hits the ground.

Fun when there's no snow is get some metal trays. put them under your rear tires. And yank the e-brake.. minimum stress on the front and rear axles!
weeeeee~

Hey hey now, everyone calm down, I've never tried to do burn outs, all I wanted to know is that if changing the suspension settings would fix this or just something like that. As I said earlier I just would rather not have wheel hop, I mean there are plenty of front wheel drive cars that put out a good bit of power and don't have wheel hop.
I live in Va so snow is a rare commodity, and front wheel drive isn't fun, I just thing its pretty cool that I can disengage it on the go and stuff. And I would pick the ms6 over an ms3 anytime, just once in a while I miss being able to hear some tires screech. But hey thanks for the help everyone lol
