I have the H&R springs and love them, but they make like a rubbing noise at slow speeds after i installed them ive just ignored it. anyone know why?

also when i go over some big bumps or the car has been sitting for long the rear side makes a loud "thunk" sound.

any help would be great thanks!

Apparently the rear damper only fits very tightly were it mates with the lower control arm. The H&R suspension was originally designed to work with the normal 6 (incl. wagon and 4wd versions) which has a different control arm and much more clearance around the pivot. I recently read about this problem on a German Forum (MPS6 - H&R Gewindefahrwerk). The OP of the thread in the link contacted H&R and apparently they acknowledge the problem (the pics speak for themselves) and are about to rectify the situation.

I found it pretty odd I didn't read about problems with these CO's on the 6club forum earlier but then again the tolerances for the OEM suspension parts are probably give and take some millimeters which means some will have the clearance issues with the H&R's and others might not. I was in the process of purchasing this CO-set and I do hope H&R puts the record straight on these!

edit: I just realized you only had the springs and not the shocks which makes the above info worhtless but oh well... still odd no-one complained about it before...
