Ever since my accident on the right side of the car, the car gets "stuck" turning right sometimes. Depends on how it's set up. I thought this was due to setting my toe on my steering/wheels to zero'd out, but it ONLY happens on the right. Talking to some people and seeing things on forums, it leads me to believe it's a bent tie rod.

Looking to replace it and I don't mind trying to do it myself, but I have no guides on HOW to do it. Or even any sort of basic knowledge. The tie rods themselves seem to be damn inexpensive: http://www.autopartsworld.com/Part.aspx?Ve...ded=tie-rod-end

So it'd just be some labor to do. Gives me a chance to kind of fix some other things.

Anyone know how to go about replacing a tie rod on the speed6's? Anyone know if those are the right parts (linked) that I should be getting?

Thanks.

I would think it is your knuckle. I have the same problem when turning left and another also did and he got his knuckle replaced and it fixed it. I had thought it was the knuckle as well, but worry other things are wrong. My insurance deductable is only $100 so I will just make a claim and get it fixed as I want the bearings done as well as they are shot. Other parts may be as well like tie rod, but who knows.

Well, the guy that realigned my car couldn't find anything else wrong besides my tie rod, which he said was so very slightly bent that I don't really need to worry about it too much.

I just want to get the car working like normal again.

How much you figure a knuckle would be?

i dont know. You would likely have to pull it off and compare it with a good one ussing a CMM machine if it was not something visable. I think mine I can see the bend. Especially when im drunk with my super laser eyes.
Actually I sereosly thought I had felt a difference on the upper part of it when it arcs forward, but i have both tires off up front and Im not so sure anymore.
