I saw those the other day as well. I would think that adjusting the camber more negatively on this car would greatly increase our handling characteristics, but I'm just not $180 sure.

Lots of discussion about these here:
http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=66965

In short, adding 1-1.5 degrees of negative camber does wonders for the car!

I'm still waiting for a complete coilover solution to arrive with adjustable camber plates on the top end of the shocks. I'd wonder how durable adjustable ball joints would be in the log run; i.e. would they be prone to sag or become loose at the camber pivot over time.

What would these "camber" plates do?

You might be waiting a while... going from double-wishbone to macphearson is going to take quite a bit of engineering.

Yeah that ain't gonna happen in our lifetime.

I think I'll go for these once I figure out what kind of shocks to go with - at this point it's either Koni Yellows or wait for something from Bilstein.

I would prefer to have the work done at the same time since it involves basically the cracking the upper ball joint open for either install.

Yeah, Kforce sent me a mail when I asked about a camber adjustable CO solution, from the mail:

1. I have no idea, that is a question for eibach
2. id is 62mm, length is 180mm
3. shocks will “handle” any spring rate, but the valving will dampen properly up to a 2kg change.
4. since ride height is adjusted with the lower mount and not the spring perch is has no relation to ride quality.
5. front is camber adjustable.
6. installation depends on the person installing, easy for some, hard for others.
Thanks,

I was assuming that they would have a top mounted camber plate like in a macphearson set up, maybe it's else where in the solution, not sure where else it could be though....

To the person who asked what does a camber plate do, simple answer is that it allows you to move the entire suspension geometry (i.e. the shock and spring) +/- as far as camber. from my POV it seems this would be MUCH more durable than trusting a ball joint to handle all the load of a camber change.

You are missing the whole point. We don't have struts up front so you can't adjust camber by using camber plates mounted on the strut towers like you are saying. Double-wishbone. You're going to have to be content with a balljoint - trust us it'll be fine.
