Default Plastidip is invading my Vehicle

So from time to time i would get distracted by the moving reflection off of the ash tray cover. This annoyed me to some extent. Answer to this problem... PD.

Couple of notes... if you EVER intend on removing plasti dip DO NOT use a clear coat on it. Also, dont PD the boot... on the MS6 at least going in and out of reverse will rub it off.

I PDed the horizontal dash trim pices, the entire center consol, front pillars, top metal piece of the shift knob which USED to get hot as fuck, and outer air vent rings.

Next i'll tackle the doors, mid, and rear pillars.... unsure about the anyting above yet. These are winter projects.

I like it... need a lot of coats especially around the cup holders so it is less ikely to, um break or get chipped. if it does, peel and reapply. easy and non-commital painting option.

Very interesting, but the best part is like what you said, just peel it off lol. I'm definitely a fan on the matte look on the interior, that's what I went for with my paint - white plasti-dip would have been a great alternative though.

As for the boot, head to RedLineGoods for a custom leather one like I got - their quality is fantastic and the ability to completely customize the leather on the boots is great!

$40 for mine - Totally worth it. Only "problem" I had was that the neck was a little loose (that's what she said) on the top where the knob screws on. I just took some thread and a needle and tied it together and you'd never even know.

I think I would rather vinyl wrap it. I hate the texture of plasti dip.

Nice... How did you get the silver top on the shift knob.
I tried 3X & could not get the tape off with a clean edge.

it actually had worked its way off and i painted it before i JB Weldeded it back on. i suggest that you set it down, use no tape and just spray a LOT or coats, like 6-10 and let dry at least 30 minutes between them.what ever gets on the leather part of the knob will most likley just rub off, lot of oil and what not in the leather.

Vynyl wrap is an idea, plasti is cheaper i believe at under 6 US Dollars with no shipping. and i would argue, easier. but its all personal preference.

I have been a fan of plasti-dip. Once you dip something right you just can't stop!
