Right here. Using Magnaflow 14216's out back and no drone at all. In fact I often drive with the sunroof tilted up just to get more of the sound into the cabin.

I have the CPE with the resonator option, I really like it, but I don't have my catted DP in yet. CPE should offer an option to put in their 2.5" mufflers on the system. Another option is to put in some restrictors in like this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCI-3DI03R/ They have ones with more or less of those discs depending on what you need. Pretty much acomplishes the same thing as a smaller pipe. We'd install them in the pipe after the muffler. Let us know what you do and how it turns out, should turn out great for you!

I just did a vid inside the car all glass closed but it really does not accurately reflect the way it sounds in real life ... sounds a bit droney in a spot or 2 on the vid when it doesn't to my ears in actuality. I can still e-mail you the vid (PM me) but I'd say it's maybe 10-15% louder than stock.

The ETS is 3" to 2.5" at the split to the mufflers/resonators. I've heard it back to back with the Corksport, which I found to have a somewhat similar sound, but in my opinion the ETS sounding a bit racier, and indeed a bit quieter. If I had to quantify it, I'd say the ETS is somewhere between the Magnaflow catback and CS catback in terms of volume. All seem to have noticeable bass on deceleration, again, just with differing degrees of intensity and volume... This car's cabin was just never designed/built to filter out some of those basier notes of an aftermarket exhaust...

The GHL with the resonator isn't a quiet 3" exhaust, that's for sure. This is coming from a guy with both cats still on. I'm sure I'd get pulled over all the time if I put a downpipe on.
I'd say that a 2.5" Magnaflow system would still be loud with a downpipe installed.. But it's all personal preference, I just don't like to have a really loud daily driver.

jracer815 is about to go open DP with the magnaflow catback. I'd ask him as soon as he's done!

It has been posted before that to get the most power gains from the exhaust that you must open it up as much as possible the near the turbo (3 inch diameter and a single high flow cat, I never would do catless) and then go smaller at the mufflers to reduce the sound.
Tapering down to a point that the stock mufflers will work is an option. I'm no engineer but this has been explained as getting the hot, high energy, high velocity exhaust gases away from the turbo as efficiently as possible and once you get to the mufflers that exhaust heat/energy/velocity has decreased so dramatically that the stock mufflers(or similar diameter mufflers) will provide enough flow. Power, without the noise, with a bit more attitude (sound). I had a corksport catback and hated it, even after I had a GHL resonated welded into it. My 911 with a sport exhaust is all the growl I need. The speed6 has the OEM exhaust on it now.
