I'm heading down to Tampa for a week in March, well actually, 4 days in Bradenton, 3 days in Tampa. I've got tickets for Busch Gardens already but I wanted some input as to what are some good malls or shopping areas. I have no car and I'm staying at the La Quinta. I've checked google but haven't really found reviews or anything, only websites for certain areas or shopping malls. I want more of an opinion on some places, and this is the only community that I'm a part of that is big enough to provide me that
So if anyone has some input as to some malls or places to check out that's accessible by bus or taxi, I would really appreciate it. As in the type of stores, people, the area, etc. Daniel |

Yup, you gotta hit Channelside. Malls - there's Tampa International Mall, and Brandon Town Center (Westfield Shopping Center) is actually stepping up pretty nicely. You can hit either...or both of those. Uhhhhhh......and that's about it to do in Tampa lol. There's plenty of clubs you could hit I suppose.

Both city's have a bus system so it shouldn't be too hard to get around.
Tampa: Ybor city (South Tampa) for the dining and nightlife. Bradenton: If it hadn't freakishly cold here (30's at night) I'd tell you to go to Anna Maria Beach while you were in Bradenton. The Rod'n'Reel pier on north Anna Maria Island. Ellenton Outlet mall. |

Cool thanks for the tips. While in Bradenton I will have my gp's van but in Tampa I'll figure out some buses probably. I know there's a mall around the airport so we can check that out the day we leave (flight around 5pm i think). But our hotel is right by Busch and I know there's a place near there as well. But I'll def. try to check out Channelside.
thanks again! |
