rather than just have 1g and 2g mazda6, list the years, obviously 1g is 03-08 and 2g will be 09-current or whatever. This HOPEFULLY could stop most of these guys who have no idea WTF their car is from posting in the incorrect forum

Something like whats done on MX6.com

bump. i still see alot of people continually posting in the wrong section.. how hard is it to add some model years and hopefully solve this problem

At any rate, what you've suggested exists out there. You just gotta know where to look *cough* signature *cough*.

Good luck getting anything to change/improve over here.

Ok, so they added the years to the subforums as suggested above...but someone put 2008 in 2nd Gen. 2nd gen is 2009+, not 2008 and up (even thought the new 6 went on sale in 2008, it's a 2009).

It's correct according to Wikipedia (and to my knowledge, as I was who changed it originally). Is wikipedia wrong?

Ok I see, it looks like they are 2008's in Europe.

See that leads to the issue of the '08 USDM 6 still being a first gen, but rest of the world got the new 6. For us they needed the extra year to uglify the car before releasing it. Years don't work in cases like that.
