Damnit, now people are really going to be able to see how much of a post whore I am
![]() Thanks @Administrator and @TiGraySpeed6 for finding the plugin! ![]() ***Administrator - found an error (unless it's just me) but the Quick Link for User Tag Statistics brings you to a dead page. Edit: NVM seems to be working now..... odd. Edit 2: Seems that depending on the page that you're on, it sends you to a dead link or not. If you're on the home page and go to the quick link, it brings you to: "http://www.mazda6club.com/usertag.php?do=statistics" but the URL that isn't dead is actually: "http://forum.mazda6club.com/usertag.php?do=statistics"

Generically speaking, in this context, they are interchangeable. You can tag users, or you can mention users, all same same. Separate from that I believe we now have the ability to set hashtags that are functional within M6C forums. IIRC, you can define them on the fly, and can set them in your CP so that you are notified of their use. Structure is normal hashtag for the twitterati among you- #Speed6

I was wondering how the hashtagging would work here (I do use them regularly in social media).
Is there a specific way of searching for hashtags, aside from clicking on an existing one? If I use the regular search to find "#speed6" I get a ton of results.

Minor change- Took me a minute to spot this one- Tagging users here is unique and seperate from mentioning a user- Tagging is done from the top of a thread page, where you can now find a User Tag List, and a Tag User button. For my own use, I default to subscriptions, so I get emails whenever a thread that I'm in is updated, and I use the notifications in the top right of every page to see if there are any mentions & quotes. I disable quote & mention emails (only, everything else is left on) in the UserCP so I don't get multiple emails about the same thing. FWIW, I also use the Feed function to get all the new posts (not every post, just first post) as a feed in Google Reader. The combination keeps me up on my threads of interest, and a fast scan of threads as they come in when I have time to review. Adding mentions & quotes makes it really easy to use the forum! Very pleased
