to the mods and the users,

has anyone else here used audiworld's forums? Don't you think they are so much better and easier to read? I mean it just makes it easier to read 100's of posts easily without 90 million pages. here's a link if anyone hasn't seen the site. basically its text unless you want to click on a single thread for a signature . but if you really want you can click through the individual posts. most people post what they have to say in the subject line so that members just have to read that. if what you have to say runs over (pictures, how to's etc.) you just post in the topic part. if there is no topic (meaning the subject line is it) you will see a little "NT" at the end of the subject.

Me personally am not to fond of threaded forums just because they look tacky and unorganized, but thats just my opinion

i personally would like to see the thread popup automatically on this forum when highlighting the subject link, for faster reading without clicking the entire thread. for an example, http://www.300cforums.com

Most likely it is just a mod they did to the forum to do that. You can pretty much make any forum do that if you know how to code it.

I'd like to put in an agreed limit on signature sizes. I hate when reading one line responses to scroll through 50x that amount in signature pics and specs.

there is a limit on ppl's sigs... yea mine is kinda big....

the thing i like about AW's is that its more content based and you don't have to even see the sigs unless you click on the individual posting

well as far as the unorganized comment. I would agree that AW can seem unorganized because everything is kinda just dumped under the specific model. BUT.... I feel that you could cut down on this unorganized problem if we/they sub divided sections (like we currently have) and once you click a thread then you are taken to a "threaded" or primarily subject line discussion so pictorially

A (mazda6)
->1(suspension)
(click on 1)
-->a
-->b
-->c
(click on specific topic then AW style)
->2(drivetrain)
B(speed6)
etc...

I have tried using the Outline format but it really is worthless, it just puts the main post at the top and worthless like 50 character text strings at the bottom. Maybe if the outline format was made better this would satisfy me. but right now as it stands you still have to click on each response even if it is only 1 line long.
