If ya'll have read my intro thread, you probably know this story already. If not, then here ya go...
I got my 2011 Mazda6 LAST Saturday. When I test drove it, it was clean for a car that had been sitting on a lot. I got the car, and when they gave it to me to drive off, it had what looked like water spots all over the car. Since they are repaving the whole lot, I figured it was from the sandy dirt that covered the lot NOW. I washed the car the next day, and it still didnt come off. So, I called the saleman, and he took the car in on Monday afternoon to "take care of it." I got it back Friday afternoon. When I drove up to pick it up, I could see what looked like gouges on the drivers side of the car. I mentioned it, and the salesman said that it would "buff right out." Im like DUDE, why should I have to buff SHIT out?! The detailing guys didnt get it off all of the windows, either. They told him that they didnt want to get too close to the trim with the buffer. Not to mention that they attempted to do the driver's side mirror, but didnt even TOUCH the passenger mirror! I have never had a car this nice before. I have always had nothing but shitty cars in the past. Im embarassed to drive this car now. It looks like Wolverine got a hold of my car! It looks great, when the sun isnt shining on my car. |

Find yourself a different dealer. Some places suck balls, others should gladly help you out.
Tell that story to another dealer and hopefully they'll be happy to take care of you. Either way, that sucks man, sorry to hear about your troubles.

Not arguing, just wondering...why would another dealer help me out? Im not paying for this to be fixed! If anything, I will take it to an actual detailer. You would think a detailer at a dealership would know how to do their job well. (Not saying ALL dealerships are like that. Just THIS one...)

I went to one dealership, told them about my fan relay control module problem, and the TSB that's out about it, they basically told me to screw off. Went to another dealership, told them the same story, they took care of me no questions asked. It can't hurt to go to another dealer and tell them what's going on, and see if they can help you out. "Hey I got this at the dealership and when they cleaned it they screwed it all up. I Don't trust them with my car anymore could you please fix it?" - Never know

::UPDATE:: The dealership JUST called me back.
I am not the kind of guy that likes to complain about stuff like this. Sure, I rather enjoy being an asshole, fighting, arguing, etc. But I dont like to when I dont HAVE to. Which is why I emailed them instead of calling them. I really did like the saleman. He is a really nice guy. HE is the one that called me back. He told me that he, his manager, the detailing supervior, and a paint manufacturer all had a meeting. (Which is why he took so long to get back to me.) He said that there are a few things that they would like to try. Im kinda nervous. I dont know if I want them to touch my car. But, they are trying to make it right. What would ya'll do? |

Id let them try wutever it is they want, but only after expaining it in detail to you. If you arent happy with what they have to say, tell them you want them to pay the bill when you have it fixed proper by someone else.
Something that was told to me a long time ago & will (or at least should) always remain true is that the customer is ALWAYS right.

In DETAIL. haha
Oh, there's no worry about that. If they screw it up AGAIN, I WILL be taking it to someone else. Still scared out of my mind this time though. |
