Thanks Falcontx, also I won't be able to install it because I don't know how. Should I just go to an Audio place to get it install?

You just pull out your console and plug it in. If you don't want to do it, an audio install shop can do it for you for between $50 and $150.

Check out this article for details on removing your center console:

http://www.caradvanced.com/news/5/Mazda6-%...er-Console.html
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_remov..._a_2006_Mazda_6

The first set of instructions were written using a 2003 Mazda 6 and the second using a 2006 Mazda 6. However, the procedure is similar for all year models.

Anyone try it with a 3rd Gen Touch yet?[/b]
I have an older unit bought in Feb 2008. I am able to control the ipod through my radio and steering controls but it does not charge.

Not sure about the newer unit.

It works fine with 3rd gen touch.

And, yes, the kit doesn't affect the normal operation of the head unit.

Yeah, it will charge all of the older iPods, as well.

Are we paying the price on the website for these or do we get any type of discount? Also do you need to have the cd changer or will it work with the single cd?

Use the coupon code 6CLUBMP3 for a discount.

It will work with any CD player/changer.

Having the same problem -- disconnecting the battery or unplugging the unit from the back of the head unit and back in works for maybe a day, then 'NO DISC'. Listening to the radio again feels like I woke up from a wonderful dream about a world where morning djs and traffic-and-weather-together didn't exist. I desperately want to go back there, has anyone had this problem and fixed it? I'll gladly buy another unit since this thing is the greatest ever (and service at RPM has been better than any company I've ever bought anything from), but I thought I'd check here first. Thanks.

If disconnecting the battery and checking all of the connections doesn't work, then the unit may have died. They do have a 1-year warranty, so if you're within that period, it can be replaced at no cost. Otherwise, a new unit will need to be ordered. That said, we are currently offering discounts on new units to customers who have purchased an older unit, for cases like yours, or for those who just want to upgrade. If you're interested in taking advantage of that, you simply need to submit a ticket via the contact page of our website.
