Hey Everyone,

It looks like I might have to sell my 04 Mazda 6. My credit has gone down the pooper since my seperation from my ex and I can't seem to get a refi loan to pay the buy out on my lease anymore. Anyway, these are the specs.

2004 Mazda 6s Sedan MTX with 60K miles. Oil Changed every 3000 miles with Mobil 1 Syn. Tranny fluid changed every 30000 with Mobil 1 full syn. gear oil. The whole car is re-polished and waxed every 3 months.

Car is in like new condition. Cloth seats, Non-Bose, Non-Sport bumpers. It does have the nicer grill and a spoiler with the third brake light.

Here is a list of all the modes, most, if not all, are in my sig:
  • Injen CAI
  • Optimized TB
  • Carbed Catch Can
  • Coolant By-Pass
  • MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust and KartBoy Hangers
  • TWM Short Throw Shifter
  • CPE Wishbone Mount
  • AWR Pass. and Driver Side Mounts (will be going in once I get them from the group buy)
  • Brand New Tokico Blue shocks all around (going in with the mounts)
  • Tabane Lowering Springs
  • 17" Rims with Falkin ZE912 tires (about 3 months old, 5000 miles on them)
  • Apexi Low Beam HIDs
  • Fog Lights
  • LEDs in every light
  • LE Tail lights
  • Shark Fin Antenna
  • Carbotech Pads with SS brake lines (15000 miles on these)
Here are some pictures of the car.

If you decide to part anything out, let me know what you want for the TB!

well, kbb has a price of around $11k for a 6s with your options in excellent condition. Now you'll never get money back for mods, but the impeccable condition of it should make it possible to get $13000 ish for your car, though i hope it works out for you and you can keep it.

I would like to get at least 11k for it. This will give me enough to pay the buy out and still have enough to get another car to get me around in. I did not expect to make the money back on the mods.

As for Parting out, can't do because i do not have the original parts to replace them with.

Does anyone else have an opinion. I would like to make sure I am getting a good price for my car. Is 11K a good price? should I go higher or lower?

I just paid $6k for an 04 6s with 100k miles on the ticker, bone stock with sport package. Car was in superb shape, it had a minor crack in the rear bumper only. That is just a reference point. So, having said that, I would imagine my car with 60k miles would have gone for ~$8,000 and maybe a little more without the minor rear bumper crack, say ~$8,500.

I would say the mods will make the car definitely worth more to those looking for a car like yours. That is, that most buyers want a stock completely untouched car or with very little mods. You have cutout about 85% of your audience by making the mods. I usually only buy stock cars and ruin them myself.

I would go on KBB.com, put in private party for your car in good condition and add a few hundred on from there. When you find the buyer, many are going to have to finance and few banks will lend beyond 100% financing of KBB good.

So, the mods aren't going to add much unless you hit that audience that wants a modded car and has good financing and/or some cash to throw down on it. Post on craigslist and mautofied.com.

The car will go for a lot more than $8,500.. But I like everyone said, I recommend parting out and then selling the car. Some parts actually do help the price of the car though. I heard my tint is gonna be worth something because I have a lifetime warranty and insurance for 1 ticket, and it's all on paper.. Transferable as well.. I'm exactly not sure what kind of other stuff makes the car sell more but you should find out. And just part out the rest.

I went on KBB and it says that my car in excellent condition goes for 11K. I figure if i ask 12K and get 11, I would be happy.

Here is the link to the KBB. KBB.COM

If it helps last year I bought my 2005 Mazda 6 S sport package and all with it from a private individual. The odometer had 58k miles on it at the time. We got it for just about 11.5k hope this helps!

Shoot, I may have been looking at KBB trade in value... If KBB says 11k, then 11k it is!
