21500$ - did i pay too much?

It's a white 2007 Mazda6 s touring, with 3.0V6, leather, sunroof, rear spoiler. No bose, but with electrochrome/compass mirror. I also traded in an 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 for 6500$ (which I think is a good deal because the car has leaky head gasket, and I don't think the dealer found it). Is this a good deal overall (purchase price + trade in)? My first post - new to the club. I am excited about my new car but somewhat worried becaue of the Ford motor/low quality gossips.

i paid 29k for my 06 6s. its got everything that can possibly be in it. except the ipod thingy. the trade in is good because i traded in a totaled car lol. so i got like nothing. Through my 39000 miles, i havent had any engine problems... so dont let the ford motor gossip make you think the 6 is bad. its a great car. and welcome to the forums.

If you feel good about your purchase and like the car, then you did great. In the end thats all that really matters.

I'm sure its possible to get it for less.. but its not that big of a gap.. Plus you got a good trade in from how it sounds

welcome to da club. hmmmm.....sounds like u got a good deal...I got my 07 mazda6i SVE brand new for like 20 grand wit no trade in. im da first owner(n mayb last since i love this car). with ur 6500 trade in, u couldve got a speed6 probaly if u couldve found one. So u got performance white huh? dats my color...lol I tried to get an S model but da dealership was bulshittn me....Im glad i got da 6i model though. My car handles like a dream...lol...with my car being the SVE edition...i have all the same (mostly) interior and exterior upgrades foound only usually on the 6s model or V6 models. main difference is engine. I have a lighter, easier to work on I-4. Which makes my car lighter than S models and handles better, from what i read up here. Ive grown to love my I-4. Its been performing good lately wit my version of da airbox mod and advance timing mod...sorry if i got off topic...lol

Thank you guys for your input. Much appreciated. Yes it's brand new. So far I like this car lot. Much quieter and more comfortable than my old Honda Accord. I am beginning to question the high ratings for Honda - we test drove many 08 cars, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Mazda... Honda felt the worst. My girlfriend who is not car-savvy at all, disliked the much appraised Accord for its bumpy feeling on the road. Quality-wise, I had the power steering pump replaced, alternator replaced twice, wheel bearing replaced, radio replaced, transmission replaced... all done in warrany. Now the extended warranty had just expired and the car began to eat coolant....

Anyway, I am glad to know that I didn't pay too much on my new car. It was an impulse purchase. I only planned to take my Accord to the mechanic to have it checked - I ended up driving a new car home on the same day, after knowing that the repairs for the Accord will cost $3000

I'm not trying to be a shit head mazda gave me the 07 6i sve for 15,700 with no trade. Maybe it was because I bought mine in Aug at closeout.

beerman, u mustve got a good deal then. Plus ur car is mtx. Mtx cars cost less than atx. Are u the first owner? i got my car around same time or actually a month or two earlier than u. plus i traded in my 2006 mazda3s, which was also brand new, so u know the negative equity carried over to this car. the drawback to trading in a new car for another...lol

Very true roll over is a bitch.. I'm the first owner of the car it was brand new. I bought my car from North Park Mazda in San Antonio. They are still selling them that cheap there, I just printed the ad from mysa.com auto section and they gave me that car.. Never pay full price for a car
