Yeah, I'd fix it rather than get a 2nd gen. But a 3rd gen would be sweet to see especially in steves hands.

Typical price range for the diesel is going to be out of my league. And yeah my car currently is having hissy fits almost daily. I got 3 check engine lights this week so far. Fixed two of them, didn't have a chance to check the most recent but I know it has something to do with the vac leak that I've got.

As for the repairs, yeah she's hurting.

I've heard rumors of $32k+

Those seem fairly accurate looking at VW's Diesel Jetta. I'd think that maaaaaybe it would be upper $20k's if we're lucky, but even then it would take me 2+ years to make up for the fuel savings.
