Well, went to VIR for a weekend HPDE hosted by our mazdadrivers friends. Highly recommend an event run by those guys, or any HPDE for that matter, it's like being a kid on christmas all over again. Here I am playing with a fellow speed6, I will leave him unnamed he can identify himself if he likes.

We had a blast running with each other for a few laps and letting each other pass. He's got video too, waiting on the higher resolution before I post that.

Here's y2kcowboy who was in a different group but thanks to both some good driving and superior suspension setup, ran the fastest laps. The event doesn't time you but doesn't mean friend and family watching can't BC coilovers FTW

My dad also made the trip out running his focus SVT, let me tell you that car is a blast to drive fast, unbelievable on bone stock suspension. Here he is with the only speed3 that was at the event

Oh yeah, that's a GTR behind him, holy crap were they fast. The seperation they got on anyone in the straights was hard to believe and there was some heavy equipment there.

Good guess but no, he wasn't able to make the event. We are going to drag him out to one of these though, see if he knows how to do more than just a straight line a 1/4 mile at a time.

Ha Ha. That dude in the Elise was talking a big game at the start of the day and I was like "I'm going to get smoked" but I was running that dude down in the turns and he had nothing in the straights. It's all driver mod and that dude was a puss. I left nothing out on the track except my brake pads and a lot of rubber.
