I was out at a job site for work, with another co-worker, and came back to this. Was on the other side of the building for an hour, tops! My guess is it was a punk teen who didn't know what he was doing. He tried to pry open the passenger side rear door with something, crowbar perhaps, and then smashed the windshield with a piece of masonry block. He was inside the car, because the doors were unlocked, but I think he fled after realizing the car would not start, without the key fob, and/or because it was a manual.

The damage includes:

windshield
hood
roof
left front quarter panel
right rear door and window
driver side window
left rear window
right headlight
center console
driver seat
driver door panel

It's an 07 GT w/ 14k miles. I am waiting to hear back from the insurance company.

holy shit, my first car got broken into. it was no where near as nice or in as good of condition as your ms6, but i know how it feels when you walk out and see your car in pieces/all smashed up. the worst part is the feeling of being 'violated'. i went in my car to collect my belongings, took some pics and never got back into it. sold it a week later for $200.

they trashed my drivers window, stole my aftermarket deck, tried to pry the trunk open, broke the steering column/ignition, pulled out the back seat.

And no-one noticed someone doing this much damage? damn... that is insane... That is more then vadalizing. that is just pure hatred let out on that car for no reason.

material damage doesnt justify death imho...
as far as what happened.. certainly it looks like the intent was to damage and vandalize... not car theft..
