For those that aren't on the local forums, figured i'd post here since i forgot to it would seem.

Mazda Dyno Day in preperation for Mazfest later this month. It will be starting at 9AM on Sat 5/9 at Church Automotive. Wide range of Mazda's listed so far, even a couple speed6's i think, so just thought i'd see if anyone else is interested. There is also something about them buying the COBB software for tuning or something, i don't know the details on that, but they will be discounting those that want to tune with them as well.

and for those interested, they use a Dynopack setup for their setup. Also note, that Shawn is one of those guys that is known nation wide for his tuning, so those thinking about it might want to look into this a bit more.

here's the details from the other thread about COBB

"Looks like we're picking up the MS3 and MS6 software from Cobb so we'll be able to do full tuning on the stock ECU. If anyone would like to purchase an accessport we'll waive their dyno day fee (our way of offering a discount since Cobb doesn't let us advertise below retail). If anyone wants to pre-purchase, we can have their APs there for pickup that day as well. Custom tuning beyond the Cobb flashes for anyone purchasing an AP through the dyno day will be $300 even, which is a substantial discount. Also, if someone wants to buy an Accessport but doesn't want tuning, we'll do a free before/after dyno so they can test the standard reflash."

no worries, i don't have anything worth dyno'ing, so no point in requesting a day off work. i like to dyno at my local guy anyhow, since i have used him the last few years it keeps things consistant.

i do almost want to dyno the Miata to see what hp it takes to run my times on track....but not going to do it.

you are correct sir, here's the addy to be safe:

300 Quay Ave.Wilmington, CA 90744

It's in between the end of the 110 and 710 FWY's. There is usually a "First Tues of the month" Meet at SMS (Stimulate Motorsports) that is not turning into a Sat meet. They do a BBQ at the shop in the parking lot, and they are talking about doing a cruise down PCH after this event. It's about 20-30min or so from Church's on the high side, so a lot of people are talking about making a Mazda day out of it and heading over there afterwards.

15631 Graham St. Suite EHuntington Beach, CA 92649

i'm not at either event, just sharing the knowledge, you can check out the threads over on MOCC if you need the down low on things.
