Hello:

Well yesterday my morning started off all wrong. After coming home from PT a woman in a red Pontiac Aztec was trying to move into my lane and hit me. No dents, THANK GOD, just scrapped my doors. The woman never stopped and kept driving. Called the cops, insurance co, got an estimate, the whole 9.

My Estimate from Greenway Auto was about $733. My deductible is $500.

Now next week I will be without my 6 for 3-4 days.

Did you get her plate #? I hope you did and the bitch is busted. I hate crap like that. Accidents can happen to anybody. That's what insurance is for, assuming she does have insurance, or a license, or a green card.

Yes I did, I copied part of it down, then a witness pulled over a few minutes later to give me the rest of the information in case I didn't. I provided this information to the cops and my insurance co. Hopefully they get ahold of her and that she DOES have insurance. So the damange comes out of her pocket and not mine

Yeah I was pretty pissed off when she just kept driving. I wanted to chase her down, but then I thought, that might be a lil too dangerous.

You did the right thing. Now a days, you never know who's packin', so it's best not to confront. We've had a fair ammount of road rage incidents end up with a person being shot dead down here in the metroplex.

I watched a hit an run like that coming out of Seattle on I-5 southbound. I gave up the chase after they proceeded to get extremely reckless... 100+ through really heavy traffic. I had a kid in the car, so I decided to back off. (Plus I was in my minivan).

I had someone rear end me and run when I was in Vegas once. I chased him, pulled alongside and he tried to run me off the road. So, even if they're no packing, they can still be crazy assholes and try to kill you with their car.

Glad to hear its not major damage, and you got plate info.

A car chase in a mini van??? That's hilarious. But yeah, I can see how that would of been very dangerous had I went with my 1st instinct and chased that woman down. I am glad I did the right thing. Had a started a chase I would of probably put more damage to my car or worse, injured myself badly.

Yeah, I will keep ya'll posted once I hear anything.

Yes, PT, Physical Training. I am a Soldier for another 61 days.

Yes, I too am glad it wasn't major damage. I was going to put another quote of wax on her this weekend. Now I will have to hold off till after they do the repairs.

While on the topic of repairs. Anyone suggest a good DIY scratch and chip repair? I heard Quixx Fix is good for scratches. I've heard a couple of reviews from Langka for Scratch and Chip repair.

This is not for the damage caused by the accident, just some minor scratches and chips I have around my car. And some MAJOR road rash I have on my bumper.
